Nah I don't have Netflix. Heard good things though. I'm mainly waiting for new Strange New Worlds.
Two episodes in progress got orphaned when GBH ended, and I have 2-3 golden ideas in the hopper for after that. I know I've been quiet this year but I'm producing a lot behind the scenes and trying to build relationships that will get more out there.
Maybe I'll circle back someday. I'm watching a lot of Trek again with my kids. My 6 year old wants to be a Voyager officer for Halloween 🤣
IMO the Mirror Universe and Section 31 stuff are some of the worst ideas in all of Trek, and Disco leaned into those hard while letting all their actual good ideas die on the vine. I lost faith when they time traveled or whatever and haven't looked back.
I admit I just couldn't take Discovery anymore after a couple seasons. I must have missed that stuff.
Not like terminator stuff, but like putting AI in charge of crop irrigation and banking and education. Then finding out the hard way that humanity just can't set it and forget it.
The computer voice in 90s Star Trek seems "dumb" now that we talk about AI so much, but I think ST lore should be updated to include recovering from a period of disastrous overreliance on AI.
