I quit Xitter months ago, but I only check here irregularly; every time I do, it feels like sticking my head into a fire hose of snark-infused bleakness. And I can only take so much bleakness before I curl up and shut down, which helps no one. How do y’all taper the fire hose to something drinkable?
Oh no! Follow curation and including a bunch of good happy-things feeds: dog pics and morning walks and such. And hair-trigger muting.
Following cultivation.
I feel like I’m seeing a completely different platform.
I only follow people whose every post I want to see, and I put often-interesting-but-also-stressful others (especially if they post frequently) onto a list that I can check separately when I have the energy to deal with.
