if you want to nerd out on the battery & charging logistics for the new electric post office d̶u̶c̶k̶ truck, omfg these docs are for you - 94kWh battery - 70 mile range (avg route is 24 miles) - parked from 6pm to 8am so L2 charging ok www.oversight.gov/sites/defaul...about.usps.com/newsroom/tes...
Wow, that is INCREDIBLY inefficient. 0.74 miles per kWh? Going slowly? A Cybertruck gets 2.5 miles per kWh at 70MPH. Truly astounding blunder.
Kinda surprised that they’re only getting <100 miles from 94kWh tbh!
Wait, 70 miles on 94 kWh? 0.75 miles per kWh? Why so low efficiency? It's not that big - are they losing mileage pulling all those batteries around?
I believe these are both pre-IRA so things probably look even better now one thing I couldn’t find is what charging port they’ll use, hopefully NACS SAE J3400? anyway more links here www.uspsoig.gov/focus-areas/...

Is there something wrong here? A 70 mile range from a 94 kWh battery sounds terrible.
i love them they are so dumb looking. there should be a federal requirement for all state owned vehicles to look weird
Surprised they didn’t mix in PHEVs too.
