Recombination plays an important role in the distribution of introgression in the generations following hybridization in lots of species 🦋🌽🐟👩‍🔬 We use the awesome power of yeast to WGS the meiotic products of two crosses, one with introgression and one without, and call crossovers and non-crossovers

We find that heterozygous introgression significantly changes the recombination landscape. Crossovers are decreased and non-crossovers are increased in regions of heterozygous introgression (similar to what is seen in heterozygous inversions!)
