No, and no. A family member had a catastrophic injury some years ago, and spent ten weeks in the hospital. Two different intensive care units, two beds on medical floor, plus the rehab unit. Exactly ONE nurse in all that time was awful. Many were brilliant, kind, and competent.

lol, sorry, I didn't mean to get in your space this way. spouse broke their neck 23 yrs ago, so it's not fair to say I'm "unaffected by disability" -- I am, however, kinda used to more exposure to street dirt, including in my house, than you might be. so I wondered if you'd thought about that.

No, no, no. I'm trying to see how the if-you-don't-take-your-shoes-off-you're-disgusting ethic works for wheelchairs. I mean, those wheels go everywhere shoes go, so I assume you're making an exception. What I'm curious about is how that hits you. My spouse uses a chair, btw.

just out of curiosity, how do you handle it when someone who uses a wheelchair visits your home?

I don't see why he shouldn't be made to carry this campaign to term.

It has that in common with the hospital, along with horrible lighting.

1967, age 15, with my brothers who were both in danger of getting sent to Vietnam. We were at J & S Hamburger in Traverse City, MI, where the hamburgers were juicy and served on great buns with mayo and chopped green olives. My mouth waters remembering it.

What this means is that women in Idaho will now be using clinics in one of the six neighboring states where it's still the law that a woman can live her life without the helpful intervention of politicians. These new laws have not reduced the number of abortions. At all. They're feel-good laws.
