I try not to be condescending about every bad take I see, but the art of character analysis and understanding limited perspective is dying in fandom spaces. Like I’m getting so sick of watching every side character get vilified. They don’t know they’re not the main character 😭

People have a tendency to mistake "being critical" for "critical reading" and a generally low level of media literacy and arts education limits the variety perspectives even more. It's frustrating, for sure!
