The number one reason people prefer Bluesky over Threads in Brazil is anonymity. Each social network has its function in someone’s online life. Brazilians used Twitter to talk about niche interests, their deeper feelings, and to talk to people out of their IRL circle. Threads links to Instagram (+)

I already use IG to stay in touch with IRL friends and family, the things I talk or write about while microblogging is not stuff they’re interested in nor is it what I necessarily want to tie my name to. So I chose here. I’m sure most feel the same way, they don’t want random aunts in their feed (+)
