It's so sad when you begin to realize that so many labels mean the opposite of what they say. Anytime you see someone who says they're a "free-thinker," "Christian," "lover of liberty," "family man," "free-speech advocate," "patriot," "nice guy," etc... They're always the opposite of that. Tragic.

It's a gaslighting tactic, really. They try to tell you how they want you to perceive them in hopes their insistence will make you ignore what their actions say about who they really are. It's why they get so belligerent when you point out their hypocrisy. I find it more pathetic than anything.
