I'm not in the prediction game, but I think it's more likely than not that Harris will squeak by. Which then still leaves us with tens of millions of our fellow citizens who support, who WANT, nazi rule. Trump could die tomorrow and we'd still have that problem to deal with.
Lift the broadcast licenses of Fox and NewsMax and all the talk radio stations and Gab and Oh wait
They were there before he was a candidate, they'll be there after he's gone. trump was just an opportunity for then to come out so strongly. We need to decide how we will deal with it in the future now that we know them,
We’re facing this issue in Brazil right now
I keep circling back to this, too. Even if we stop Trump here, I don't know how we move forward with what we now know about millions of our fellow citizens. I don't know how we heal.
We've gone through it before. mccarthyism was nazi-ism. It wasn't easy and it took a while, but it was sent back into the fringes and it will be again.
I don’t know if they’d be as motivated without him. Some would try to fill the void he would leave but somehow I think they’d eat one another alive in panic.
We'll have a problem for the next decade. Harris "squeaking by" is also gonna be a huge legal issue.
Mockery, scorn and ridicule in public and shunning and disapproval in private.
Squeaking by isn't enough. It needs to be a majority large enough to overcome the judicial fuckery and mob violence
Probably a good thing then that the major political party positioned to defend against the institutional implementation of has landed on an ethos of "reaching across the aisle" to people who have (at best) *spent their entire lives* winking an nodding at the sentiment. I foresee no complications.
