This is a very good thing for a site barely holding together that has accidentally ddos'd itself multiple times since the buyout because oops we made a request loop that causes every user to spam the server. "We broke something so you now owe us $60,000."

XTwitter seems hell-bent on killing alternative viewing methods and un-logged browsing. This a really bad idea, and therefore completely consistent with Musk's level of business acumen. This is probably utterly un-enforceable, but Musk will sue anyway. Because he can.
This policy is an attempt to charge for AI scraping.
