Believing technology will render the vast majority of humanity obsolete is a statement of politics, instead of being presented as a goal an identifiable class is pursuing it’s framed as a neutral claim about the future.

Technology has been deleting jobs that existed and don't anymore for as long as technology existed, how's that a matter of politics? He said jobs will disappear and it will hurt certain people, not that the people will be obsolete? Jobs aren't people.

The real, immediate effects of AI are to make the climate crisis much worse for no reason, impacting the vast majority, particularly in the global south. Portraying this science-based technological progress is perverted beyond words. No wonder they want to populate the universe w/ digital people!
