A problem for me with the prison-abolition movement is that reading about something like this--wealthy corporate executives' deliberate malfeasance apparently contributing to the deaths of scores of ordinary people--makes me want to remove those people from society for a long time.

"Only" 9 Ethiopians perished on that flight. The rest of the victims were from all over the world, including 8 American victims.

I still think of this crash and feel especially sad, it could have been avoided and it was just horrific. May they never be forgotten.
