I keep coming back to the point that Letterboxd does a much better job of drawing connections between canon (and genre) via the lists and editorial. It gives me much more informed serendipity than I get from personalised recommendations. The book apps act like a fitbit for reading.
I keep wondering why there isn’t a Letterboxd for books. Yes, there’s Goodreads, Fable etc but I don’t find them nearly as sticky as Letterboxd.
