Nex Benedict could have become famous for their art. Or their activism. They could have been known for starting a business that made people's lives better somehow. Now their name will only be known because of what hateful people did to them. It's monstrously unfair.

I hear from somewhere the grandmother was talking about both she and Nex were working with local tribes to make them more trans accepting. I wish that is what we knew Nex for.

Here's a good Substack from someone who contacted the local cops about this (and got stonewalled). I don't know anything about the author but this seems like good work.

Nex Benedict deserved so much better.

They were so bright and full of life. I hate this.

Didn't mean to say that they needed to be famous for anything. Fame isn't the point. The point is they deserved to grow up and become a full person, and if they were known for anything it should have been how they lived their life.

Nex was a baby, and I don't see the "pro life" people all up in arms about killing actual real children. But they should be.

If the local and state authorities have control over it, the name Nex Benedict will be forgotten forever and the crime of murder will go unpunished. And so far I don't see anything stopping them from doing it. www.oklahoman.com/story/news/l...

They could have made someone's day. That could have been today. They could have been in a position to recognize another beings rights and to fight for all that breathe.

honestly, Nex Benedict was a kid. A kid that should have been able in a couple of years to sit in the back of my college classroom and goof off with their friends, like the rest of my students. That this won't happen is a wound to all the world.
