I find it increasingly hard not to obviously roll my eyes when yet another 50-something finance guy says: “We won’t rejoin in my lifetime.”

I remember the chief economist of BP telling an MBA class that oil would never again be above $100/barrel in their lifetimes. It was 2001. Short lifespans.

The correct response to that is: “oh my god, its terminal? How many months do you have left?”
