I think this point doesn’t get highlighted nearly enough - it’s a license to police the looks and behavior of all teenage girls, not just girls who are trans. It’s awful on every level.

There’s a line in that story about crowds booing “teenage athletes.” Children. They’re booing children. I wish people who are ambivalent about trans rights or “apolitical” would stop and think about that.

And some of us aren’t particularly good at sports, but still enjoy playing. The kids like me, and I’m guessing like a lot of us on here, are getting shut out of socializing and just being active with their peers.

Right?! Like it's high school sports. The response to any of this should be _who cares_ if a trans kid plays, let them play! This has enabled the worst kind of sports parent to terrorize girls who play sports, cis and trans, over _high school sports_
