Two reasons “New Makers of Modern Strategy (edited by Hal Brands) is superior to Makers I (Earle) & II (Paret): 1) chapters like this one ☝️ bring new perspectives (beyond standard Euro/US-centric), and; 2) considering strategy (also like ☝️) across all elements of power, in competition and conflict.

So I read all three editions as a self-PME project and I more or less think that this latest edition is a fundamentally different project than the first two.
