So I came here as soon as I could, fully intent on switching. But it just wasn't ready back then. I haven't posted in 5 months. What's new? Any favourite little irritants ironed out?
Believe it or not, there was actually a really cool case of technology benefitting rugby yesterday. Scotland France Six Nations SCOvFRA
Not to be though, because we're not sure if this ball is on the ground or miraculously levitating above it. Sour taste in the mouth this week.
That'd be Scotland's biggest match in 25 years & a hell of an opportunity for a great contest. Let's be honest; Ireland would still almost certainly win. They're that good. But opposition teams don't like Murrayfield, and the Scots would be up for it as never before.
I don't think anyone really expects anything but an Irish Grand Slam, but if Scotland go 3 from 5 and end up in third, 'contentment' will not be the word of the day. Second place would be huge & now it's probably France's. Imagine Scotland were 4 from 4 with Ireland at Murrayfield to finish.
It's very rare I use the word 'sour' in any context, but every time I do I'm reminded of Jackie Kay's phenomenal wee poem, 'Old Tongue' which perfectly encapsulates moving to England as a child. 'I cried one day with the wrong sound in my mouth.' Stunningly beautiful.
You can see the ball on the foot, then again and again and again you can see it go down two inches to the ground. You can also see the foot it was initially resting on MOVE AWAY. Brian MacNeice absolutely shafted Scotland and we all watched him do it. SCOvFRA
