Pretty good Western with an overall warm and comfortable vibe despite bits with shooting and killing. It has a warm brown and yellow homely look + how the Sheriff helps his alcoholic friend and bonds with a woman who has been skipping from town to town. 📽️

time to see for the first time Howard Hawks' Rio Bravo. The film he and Wayne made as a response to the awful commie film High Noon to showcase real American Western values 📽️ NW:

I love both this one and High Noon. I think they both do a great job of showing off the multiple sides of a Western, and how the genre can be so much more complex than white hats vs black hats, which is unfortunately, what a lot of the genre devolved into by the 50s, especially on TV.
