I had to do this to get vehicle tag in Washington state after moving there… needed birth certificate and marriage license, tho divorced for many many yrs. Thought, this feels discriminatory, as it’s not asked of men.

I needed proof of my legal name, my social security number, legal presence in the US, date of birth, and two sources for a valid street address. Also this had to be a minimum of five documents, no fewer than that. Unless it was a passport. The rules to get an ID have gotten pretty bad.
