An intriguing aside from Brookings' Richard Reeves during a #chronfest interview w/ Karin Fischer: the #testoptional movement (& the increased focus on the academic record over non-curricular factors) *may* further exasperate the gender imbalance (toward women) within #highered undergrad enrollment.

Because women significantly outperform men in the classroom (while women & men score ~the same on ACT/SAT), prioritization of the academic record over non-curricular components (eg, bubble testing, legacy status, sports, etc.), could mean that men students continue to be underrepresented in college.
