I fear that a big issue with reporting on the middle east is that the average western reader cannot distinguish between: hamas, ISIS, hezbollah, the taliban etc- all wildly different groups from different parts of the area
...so when they hear "israel is fighting hezbollah" they don't think "israel has started a new war in a different country", which is what that is

I don't think the management at the con I was at would do that, but I also don't think they would have the budget or expertise to do that
Paper wristbands are a really bad idea for tracking multi-day convention registration imho. We shouldn't be equipping gamers at conventions with an item that attaches a potential monetary risk to them taking a shower.
