The fact that solar power is now 2 to 3 times cheaper than the cheapest fossil fuels suggests the reasons why politicians approve extremely wasteful and costly new fossil fuel projects is either bribery or blackmail. There are no economic or social reasons to invest in fossil fuel expansions.
