Perhaps the focus should now be to amplify voices who raise the alarm in a more urgent and alarming tone. Perhaps those urging everyone to remain calm and just slowly work on solutions, as they have done for 30 years, should now be amplified less.

The most important aspect to this is honesty and integrity and not tempering our explanations of reality for a vested interest narrative of “social cohesion”. For decades we’ve been played by marketing grads using the most basic psychological tricks of the advertising industry.
