I don't think I disagree with what you're saying, though as an outsider who was trained as a particle physicist, I'm often startled and sometimes deeply confused by the mix of fact and opinion that I see in peer-reviewed articles on energy and climate.

Same as the "honest broker" concept is everything but honest. A comparable fallacy, i.e., as it's "creator" is meanwhile for sale.
Being more open about one's personal values in discussing the societal and policy implications of refereed climate science papers is a useful suggestion. It won't stop criticism by others, and should not. But such a personal statement of values has the advantage of encouraging transparency.
