Not for everyone but if they’re up for it, having them narrate what they’re doing, what they can see, what they intend to do next and talking about it with them as they go can be really effective. Tons of vids online showing ems drivers doing advanced versions of this youtu.be/HibFPwEYvug?...

Go to big a lot and give it the beans, mash the breaks, turn in too hard, lose control. Have them feel what all that’s like in a safe environment

Its all about observation, and using you mirrors and head turns. I’d suggest adding blind spot mirrors as well. Teach them the old look 5 than 15 than 30 seconds down rule and on planning your route through traffic vs reacting to it.
