It always blows my mind how quickly semesters pass once teaching is underway. Already a quarter of the way through things: insane.
I’ve had an exhausting yet satisfying few weeks of work. There were moments I thought I was slipping back into old routines of overwork and overwhelm, but each time I managed to pull myself out of it. Reminding myself daily of the small joys of this genuinely tough occupation.

AI-generated imagery isn’t the issue, necessarily. It’s what the generators are trained on, and whether or not that material is licensed/cleared for the specific use.
academia edu used to be a great resource, not just for pre-prints, hard-to-find articles, keeping track of authors, but also as an academic social network. It's now over-engineered, often confusing and misleading, with little value for academic profile. The Pro version is also now extortionate.

watched LATE NIGHT WITH THE DEVIL. loved it. Pure media horror. Anyone who boycotts this because AI is doing disservice to a team (a) operating outside mainstream production (b) producing something genuinely innovative marrying best of then+now and (c) missing the point of the film+AI conversation.
