I am fairly certain i myself am my own worst classroom management issue. 🤦🏼♀️
One of my fave parent of students is at #cmccentral this weekend. If any of my friends meet her, please take good care of her!!!
A first grader just came to my class to bring me a flamingo sticker, so I’m basically winning at life right now!
Really trying to lean into my #swiftieera. Things i said in class today… 1. When explaining why we may want to put a zero when subtracting decimals of different lengths, “we’ve got a blank space, baby, and I’ll write a zero.” +
What say we about this? According to the answer key the solution is radical 3 which I would interpret as that x doesn’t belong under the radical. So if that’s the case shouldn’t the x be i front of the radical? Or am I off base with something here? (It’s for a competition that I already hate)
Can stores just stop the nonsense of- oh here’s a coupon for your order but if you come inside and accidentally buy more than you planned to we will charge you full price, but if you order online and cause our team more work to do, *then* you can have 20% off 🤦🏼♀️
Some days it takes me 3 weeks to grade a test (I know, shame on me), other days they are graded by the end of the next period 🤷🏼♀️ shocked kids 2 days in a row it’s the latter.
Interested in anything you’ve got for strategies for math for students with dyslexia. I’d love to learn more and things I’m finding are mostly activities- which is great, just not what I’m looking for at this moment!
