Normalize reenactments of things other than historical war battles.
It must be great to be part of the no consequences or criticism for anything you do ever club.
Giving some people benefits they donât need is cheaper than making people prove they need it.
And so the people who get good at them have this unearned reputation as an intellect when in reality they're mostly just as dumb as anyone else. Getting really good at chess is no different than getting really good at juggling, but nobody sees someone juggling and thinks "Wow they must be a genius!"
Something that endlessly bugs me is the conflation of skills with smarts. There are certain skills that are "intellectual coded", like speaking a second language, playing chess, or playing the violin. But they're no different than any other skill, you just need to study & practice them to get good!
