If you're using generative AI for your personal game dev (or other) project, (1) STOP and (2) REMOVE IT FROM YOUR PROJECT FILES COMPLETELY. At best it was never copyrightable; now it could get YOU in copyright trouble and those fines are a-whole-year's-pay-PER-OFFENSE huge.

Can i get context without digging through piles of legal speak, so I can pass it on to my kid who is studying game dev? Is this art assets, code, both, more, less? I know he's talked about using bits of existant code as a shortcut.

I have seen people use AI for logos here, menus, etc, it's quite sad. Mostly small business, I try to warn people but it falls on deaf ears.

On a previous project we had to dump a logo we contracted because the artist used genAI for the early concepts and we couldn't afford the risk. Don't use it! Not even for placeholders or concept art! #gameDev
