When Megan and I used to work in Microsoft tech support, the phonetic alphabet was posted on our cubicles. Great for us, but using it on the line always seemed to encourage people like you into trying to use it back haha. Everyone's spontaneous phonetic alphabet is awkward and hilarious.

I wish I would learn sign. It honestly seemed like something they should teach in school. Not only is it a general accessibility advantage and courtesy, it has numerous potential uses beyond accessibility issues, especially if it was commonly understood.
