Excellent excuse for extremely expensive sea defences …

I fear we are somewhat trapped at the top of a downward spiral, the thought of investing in the new is totally drowned out by the cost of just keeping everything else running.

Some people may argue “oh there’s massive shops nearby”. Yes, but since when is our culture in this country to only have massive chains ??

Every time I go back to my hometown I witness the expansion - car oriented housing. No shops, parks, schools, bus stops(!), community centres. Just rows and rows of houses with driveways and tiny roads.

Ah yes, sorry to all non-civil servant public workers. I often use the term incorrectly by mistake😬.

I think I might be among a minority (privilege likely showing) that supports having more highly paid civil servants (and across many grades).

I really like autumn; it's beautiful out, but I can actually see ... unlike summer.
