The secret to becoming a writer is finishing. The secret to becoming a working writer is finishing consistently and repeatedly.
Well... shit. This may explain, however, why my D&D (and other TTRPGs) campaigns don't finish so much as deflate.
What does one call it when one has 5 outlines and hasn't had a free moment to start the actual writing part.

Personally, I like to call it "reaching completion," because it makes the non-writers so wildly uncomfortable.
I don't think she coined the phrase, but I read something similar in a book by Maeve Binchy that stuck with me. "Don't get it right. Get it written."
