That was just one. If there's another that is anywhere near as bad that's an insane amount of damage. This year may end up with $80bln+ in damage in the worst scenario. It doesn't help that our infrastructure, especially in region, has been sorely unmaintained. This is just making everything worse.

I would hold off on the conclusion it's ending sooner cause we're not there yet and I keep seeing projections getting things wrong. I have a sinking feeling that it's earlier AND longer, but it's still too early. Fucking scared of this storm, not going to lie. Been living down here for a bit too.
