If you’re not following it already, the New Yorker & Madeleine Baran (In the Dark) has been digging into the Haditha massacre and how the Marines (didn’t) correct a significant war crime. It’s hard. It’s OK to skip. But they’re dropping the most complete database of US war crimes this coming week.

This is important, because in the aftermath of Mai Lai, Congress required all branches of the military to keep all records of their war crimes investigations in repositories the public could access. It’s pretty clear all four branches have been not doing this and are in violation.
