2-5 players can play and a game can be as quick as 10-30 minutes. It's a fun, lightweight game with an easy to understand concept. The game even ships with a number of expansions and alternate rules that can add extra layers to the game!

Nekojima is a balancing game where you connect bamboo "powerlines" between two of the four island districts. The trick is to place the poles on the board without the cords touching the ground or each other. As the game progresses, the poles get taller and taller and placing more becomes more risky.

Unfortunately I think she's taking this as "something terrible happened in my childhood and my mind's not letting me remember it" and trying to find repression where it doesn't exist.
