In case you wonder if teleportation is better than flying, it's not. To teleport one human would require ~6,000x the world total energy supply, and would take 4.85x10¹⁵ years (i.e., ~350,000x longer than the universe has existed). It's faster to bike.

Teleportation: will it ever be a possibility?
Teleportation: will it ever be a possibility?

Instant travel seems further away than when Captain Kirk first reanimated, but scientists are fighting to make it happen

Gordon Bennett we in the mid point of the #6thMassExtinction with the decline in species since 1970 hitting 73%, the world is starving from draught & famine AND they fund rubbish research like this. It actually makes me angry. I don't mind scientists doing this as a hobby but frankly, they suck.

"So you're telling me there's a chance." Dumb and Dumber Reminds of the Alcubierre Drive, a mathematical proof of warp drive. IIRC, it would require the mass of Jupiter to be converted to energy to power it.

"would take 4.85x10¹⁵ years" That would be a great excuse to skip a couple of Teams meetings, though!
