So pleased to see my flash fiction “All The Difference” about a newly licensed space-time traveler search for wisdom and connection is out in Small Wonders. If you’re a speculative fiction or Robert Frost fan, check it out, and let me know what you think. smallwondersmag.com/piece/all-th...
When I got my license to travel through space-time, the first thing I planned to do was look up Robert Frost.
Looks like I have some catch up reading to do!
Thank you. It’s the story the won the recent auditions for the “What story should I write next” game show that is constantly playing in my head.
Nice. Wish I had more time to look into the Codex challenge stories. Wish I had more time in general! I’m intrigue by Book III. Tell me more.
Writing goals for the weekend: 1) finish my critique of an Odyssey friend’s short story. 2) Finish draft 0 of my short interstellar, interspecies love story, “I Carry Your Heart” What are your goals?
I’m curious if this plays out in the revision process of your own work. I feel like I’m constantly wrestling with the sense of what the story “could be” or “should be” and then at some point I surrender to what the story is (for better or for worse). Am I making any sense?
Oooo … did you say sentient planet? Yes, please. Also, great title, and the cover looks amazing! Chilling.
As a boy, I remember being so amazed that reading speculative fiction could make me feel the way it did. I remember thinking that it was like magic. I wanted to keep experiencing that magic. And I do. I also wanted create stories that would bring that magic to others. Not quite there yet!
