The whole ā€˜Anakin <> Vaderā€™ is weird. Palpatine is Sidious. Dooku is Tyrranus. Just because he had to wear a life support suit, doesnā€™t separate Anakin from Vader.

Robert Ludlum was told that years ago, so he had some of his books published under a different name. I wonder if early on, thatā€™s also why King used different names?

Many (most?) of the regional groups have opted to go it alone, separately from the organisation. Iā€™m a member of the Glasgow & West of Scotland group which is pretty much active throughout the year, and I believe Edinburgh is the only region to have MLā€™s want to remain part of the org.

Deleted it earlier in the year after thr Municipal Liaison fiasco, when my region jumped ship. It was a horrible site, the last time Iā€™d updated it was 2012

The Scottish group Iā€™m a member of split. I believe every Scottish group save for the Edinburgh one has split from NaNo.

Theyā€™re also defending their sponsorships from and affiliations with predatory companies/people looking to take advantage of writers. Vanity presses etc.

Not sure whoā€™s actually still doong NaNo - many/most of the regions have broken away to be independent. I believe Edinburgh is the only region in Scotland to remain affiliated with them
