Personally, I found Monster Hunter: Rise to be the easiest to jump into and learn. It's really, really good + doesnt info-bomb you as hard as Monster Hunter World. It has a huge collection of monsters, excellent weapons, simple-to-access multiplayer. The "village quest" storyline helps teach you :)

I've only played world and yeah, the info dump was ROUGH. too much all at once with not enough direction on what to learn first. I got through the first big story arc thing, but eventually dropped it.

We’ve been playing World with a partner and friend since the. In one of the year. It’s been such a fun game and we are looking forward to playing Rise and then Wilds when it comes out. Such a fun series ^_^

Rise, unlike World, has a line of "easy mode" hunts, the aforementioned "village quests", that really let you practice and learn stuff before heading into the "normal" monster hunter experience of teaming up for "guild hunts", preparing your hunting gear, and taking down big monsters!
