Nuance is for us, not for moderators. Moderators need clear and specific guidelines that are universally enforceable, so that their hands remain completely judgment-free and their opinions have no weight. You and I, we engage with nuance to decide how we spend our time and who we spend it with.
I think there's an increasing trend of bad actors taking advantage of nuance in cases like these in order to push censorship agendas. We really just need to return to "it's not real, dummy" as the foundation, because that defeats everything else. Don't give moderators nuance as a tool to abuse.
