Honestly I think vtubers/vtubing could have been less of a flash in the pan if they hadn’t insisted on there being “vtubing community”

vtubing is still pretty big and some of the larger indies do collab with regular non vtuber people. ironmouse and dokibird come to mind on that one. i do agree the idea of a separate community for just vtubers is pretty bad though

The associations with anime and idol culture could have loosened a bit too. Like you can literally just be a lil dude on stream. A little cartoon mf. That shoulda been the baseline.
