We can’t forget the people in Palestine and Lebanon who are being killed by American and European weapons by a regime that is sustained by western support (and nuclear weapons, btw!). But I don’t think repeating 2016 is going to help them.
I don’t even live there, and I would prefer not to return, but the fact that American military violence is going to harm an untold number of people does not tempt me to implicitly or explicitly support a package that includes both overseas violence and Christo-fascism at home. So I voted.

The State Department just updated my FOIA request's estimated completion to Jan 2026 - *four years* out from when I submitted it in 2022. Absolutely unhinged. Worst part is that this won't even crack the list of longest running requests - some have under review since the 2000s.
