expected that key points can still be shared so that they can influence policy & practice. There should also be more effort to fund promotion & sharing of plain language summaries so that they are accessible to patients & their families. Some charities do help with this

It all comes down to publishing open access being prohibitively expensive. Unless you are at a big institution or have a big grant then your work will often be behind a paywall. That doesn’t work for EDI work done by in your spare time
