AS A REMINDER! The general stuff works fine, but IIRC, you have to setup some other features BEFORE you lose cell service - like if you want to send your location to family/friends!! They have to be authorized to receive it while you have internet!

Open the Health App on your iPhone and enter all vital information a first responder may need into your Medical ID. Make sure to enable “Show When Locked” for Medical ID and “Share During Emergency Call” Ideally set an emergency contact to someone outside of hurricane path.

Google Pixel 9: support.google.com/pixelphone/a... It's coming to more Android phones, unfortunately not launched yet. Only a few other models have a modem capable of satellite links, and so far none of the other major manufacturers have enabled it.
