Current youth trends explained via the medium of ships probably isn't and shouldn't be a thing, but here we present... Demure vs Brat Summer

Royal Navy battleship Royal Sovereign of 1891, going to work very cutesy, very demure, none of this green cut crease.
French ironclad Hoche. It almost certainly has a green cut crease. It definitely has almost everything else piled on top of it, which is probably why it looks like it's sinking.

(It isn't actually sinking. That's just how it rolled...)

I must admit that "Which of these horrible French efforts is most Charli XCX?" wasn't a conversation I imagined having with my kids when I woke up this morning.

Whilst I appreciate this, I’ll be honest - this hasn’t clarified anything for me

Can't have a flush deck, compromise with a flushed deck.

Yeah but the demure one is on a roll CPO Tom 'Jumper' Collins, my great-grandfather, Royal Sovereign 1894-5

I have to ask - Who was responsible for the one on the left.?

Royal Sovereign looks like a liner with ??10 inch guns. The other thing is clearly an early waterborne MadMaxesk avant garde cinema prop.

The one on the right is a very bad design for a submarine.
