Elon Musk’s X removes New York Times’ verification badge

The gold badge was the only symbol distinguishing the Times’ 55-million-follower account from impostors amid two major global conflicts.

I shut my account down the day they rolled tape of that goon walking in with the sink. It was like a graphic depiction of the poop in the punch bowl.

People need another place to go. I was just lucky someone shared their invite code with me cause I'd been on the waiting list for almost a year. Tried Post & Spoutible, which are okay, just not the same. Don't want to go to Threads cause I abhor anything FB related. Twitter was, past tense, special.

it's hard to care very much about Twitter anymore. they're clearly only boosting those with the blue badge which can be bought, so why would a news agency waste any time there?

The positive will be soon to have not the « verified » badge. Better to stay on Bluesky.
