The global sale of ICE cars peaked in 2018. They are now losing market share to EVs. That translates into less fossil fuel consumption and lower emissions from light transportation vehicles. 🧪🔌💡

Analysis from Our World in Data shows that global sales of internal combustion engine vehicles hit a maximum of ~84 million in 2018 and have decreased annually to ~63 million vehicles in 2023. Over that time, EV sales have increased from ~2 million to ~14 million.

A good summary of why most virologists don't believe in the covid lab leak hypothesis: pauloffit.substack.com/p/lab-leak-m...

Lab Leak Mania
Lab Leak Mania

Why did the New York Times publish an op-ed supporting the lab leak theory?

"I strongly recommend this book ... You don't have to know the history of every discovery in your field but if you are going to refer to it in the introduction to your papers then you'd better be sure you get it right." Look at this thing of beauty. This won a Nobel Prize. The Hulse-Taylor binary pulsar system. Einstein's General Relativity predicts orbital period between these massive compact objects should decay (the solid curve is the GR prediction). Incredibly, observations match this almost perfectly. 🔭🧪

a plot showing years on the x-axis starting from 1973 through to 2014 and on the y-axis the deviation of orbital time in seconds. There are two curves on the plot. The first shows a straight line at the top of plot that is annotated with "line of zero orbital decay" and indicates the non-General Relativity model. The second curve is a decaying parobolic arch that is annotated "General Relativity prediction". Overlayed on this arc is a series of data points that match perfectly.

You may have opinions on COVID19 origins, but Eddie Holmes brings the evidence. He's one of the world's top scientists working on viral emergence. This is worth, actually required, reading for anyone interested in the subject. There will be a quiz afterwards. www.annualreviews.org/content/jour...

AI review of my book: "Cancer Virus Hunters is a well-researched comprehensive history that focuses on the scientists who led the discoveries, their work, and how the study of tumor viruses led to breakthroughs in molecular biology and the first cancer vaccines." #Cancer#HPV#HBV#HCV#oncogene
