Thanks for the tips, I'll give those a try! Trying out collaborative writing tools I came across curvenote. Because of the broken citation manager I found it unsuitable for writing, but it felt like an overleaf killer!

and maybe you get what you paid for, but holding my notes hostage was never a foreseen outcome of the terms we agreed to so long ago. They just keep altering the deal, pray they don't alter it any further...
I have gradually stopped using it as often.... Several changes to the interface made it less easy to access and it eventually turned into nagware, constantly asking for money and interrupting it's usability. Now it's useless....🧵
