I haven't done a #CougarOrNotnorthernontario.ctvnews.ca/official-say... what do you think? The official says it's a cougar 🧪🌍🦊
A viewer sent CTV News Northern Ontario a security camera photo of what appears to be a cougar crossing behind his camp.
clicked the link OH YEAH HELLO BIG FELLA 😻
I didn't click the link but from that still image, it has to be a cougar. Despite the fact that I don't see it's tail, no other cat has that physique. Bobcats and lynx have much chonkier hind legs and higher rear ends.
Oh Great Bast that’s the Bobbiest Bobcat that ever Bobcatted
It’s a cryptid!!!! Just kidding.
Look at that beautiful tail! I vote yes.
Hm…it’s definitely a hard one, but I’m leaning Not. Proportions just don’t look right. That said, this image is so dark and blurry that it makes everything look not quite right.
It definitely is. Our HS mascot was a cougar and we had a taxidermied one in a case, I saw that creepy thing every day for almost 3 shool years. That large spicy kitty looks spot on the same as that taxidermy kitty from my HS.
Most people seem to think bobcat, but the body shape looks like a cougar to me. The long torso, slender form, and smaller/lower rear end look cougary to me. That said, I'm in California so I don't know how our subspecies compare to the other side of the continent.
(I've missed these since leaving the bad place) I think (WAG) it is, based on body:head size- I think the tail might be dressing to the left. Too bad the cat isn't walking next to a meter scale bar.
